In just less than 5 years of operation the Kids Unlimiited program has changed the game of basketball in the Rogue Valley. For the first time in Southern Oregon communities Latino youth are being represented at varsity level positions in both high school boys and girls basketball programs. Not only are more kids being provided the opportunity to play but Kids Unlimited teams are competing successfully in national and regional basketball tournaments. The Kids Unlimited program has expanded opportunities to youth at some of the highest poverty schools in the region and in 2007 will offer instructional league opportunities to over 400 elementary school students at Medford School District's highest poverty elementary schools. These expanded opportunities will be provided by our brand new Kids Unlimited gymnasium opening in January of 2007.
