Kids Unlimited began it's first girls basketball program in 2004 after recognizing the lack of opportunities provided to young ladies of poverty.  The mission of the pilot program was not only to involve young ladies but to help change cultural norms around Latino young ladies and sports.  In it's first year of operation the program that began with just 10 girls swelled to nearly 50 in it's first year.  Today Kids Unlimited's girls program boasts one of the winningest records in AAU competition and has over 200 young ladies that have or currently do participate in basketball.   Our program is open to all kids and emphasizes fundamentals, hard work and education.

Thank you to all of the Kids Unlimited teams and supporters for helping to make the 2006 AAU Girls season a success. Without the help of our community many of our youth would not have the opportunity to play. With a little help and a lot of hard work young ladies, many whom never played before have accomplished some great successes on and off the court. An amazing year has helped to further a new tradition in Southern Oregon basketball.
It all starts with an opportunity. Thanks for believing in our kids!
