Welcome to Kids Unlimited’s 12th summer camp.  Kids Unlimited is a local non profit youth development agency dedicated to providing empowerment opportunities.  Each year, Kids Unlimited serves youth through elementary and middle school after-school programs, sports clubs, mentoring & various enrichment programs.  Our Main 1 Center for the Arts is ever changing to meet the needs of youth and families in Southern Oregon.

Our clinics and workshop structure provides campers the opportunity to engage in many different activities, allowing for students to try new things as well as choosing areas of their interests.  Camp is led by a staff of certified teachers, educational assistants, coaches, community members, youth development professionals & youth. The staffing creates an environment committed to healthy learning, leadership, diversity and FUN!  Our staff to camper ratio is 1 to 16, allowing for relationship building, mentoring and small group dynamics.

Camp Highlights Include:

Sports Fitness & Conditioning: USTA Tennis/Ralleyball, MBA basketball, wrestling, soccer, Rogue Warriors Football, Portland Trailblazer Basketball camp, martial arts, and circuit training

Computer & Technology: 
Expanding Horizon’s Film program, digital photography & mini movies, Claymation, digital audio technology, Lego Robotics, Scratch computer programming, We-Do Robotics, Pico Cricket programming and computer lab programs

ARTS:
Ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, comic strip/cartooning, print making, photography portfolio, scrapbooking, mural design, urban art, & Draw Squad

Dance: 
hip hop, break dancing, ballet, tap, jazz
   
Science: 
Hands on Science, Outdoor Education, Investigation & Experimentation, EcoLab, CSI

Performance Arts & Music: 
Music & Instruments Introduction, theater, improv, script and set design

Culinary Arts: 
“A Melody of Flavors” intro to cooking/kitchen safety, baking, healthy cooking & sports nutrition, Seeds to Table Program,  planting/cultivating & harvesting with Dunbar Farms & Rogue Valley Farm 2 School

About camp
kidsThe camp runs between 7:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday from June 21st-August 13th.  This year we will have 4 sites, each for a different core grade group.  Students entering 1st/2nd grades will be at Jackson, 3rd/4th at Howard Elementary, 5th/6th graders will be at Jefferson Elementary and 7th/8th graders will be at Main 1/VIBES.  Each site will provide free breakfast, lunch & snack programs.

- WHEN:

- HOW:
Registration begins May 25th, 2010.For DHS/Scholarship billing questions please call 774-3900 to set up appointments; individual times available upon request. Se habla espanol.    

- COSTS:
$550 for all 8 weeks or $69/week (minimum 4 week enrollment per child). 

$75 non-refundable deposit per child is used to hold a spot at time of registration and is applied toward total tuition cost.  Scholarships and DHS available available.  Tuition includes all field trips, camp T-shirt, breakfast, lunch and snack.   Spots fill quickly, so register early!
Registration begins may 25th 2010.
