The Main 1 Performing Arts Center is more than music and entertainment, it is a visionary tool for changing the community. The center was established under the umbrella of Kids Unlimited in the year 2000. Kids Unlimited provides nearly a thousand youth each week with free after school enirhcment programs, mentoring, cultural arts and recreation activities, and recreation. All of our services are free and are supported heavily by the operations of the Main 1 Arts Center. Our mission is to empower through opportunity.

Every weekend, some 400 teens ages 15 to 20 gather to dance at VIBES’ 10,000-square-foot dance floor with state-of-the-art lighting and sound. But the scene is not just about the latest music and dance moves. Staffed with youth professionals from throughout Southern Oregon, VIBES is a place where young people have fun in an atmosphere that promotes respect and safety while also recognizing the new realities of social interaction. Instead of condemning youth culture, as so many teen-targeted programs do, VIBES uses the culture to reach the kids, offering messages they can hear in a language they understand.
